Customized for Veolia: a new working environment at EDGE Hafencity
What does the ideal working environment look like for Veolia Umweltservice GmbH? Togeher with the company we evaluated this question – and found an answer. The result is a modern, flexible office on around 4,800 m² of rental space that meets Veolia's individual requirements and sets new standards for the company's working environment.
To achieve this, we specified the strategic preliminary planning, developed an elaborated workplace concept and managed the entire fit-out process - from design to furniture selection. The aim was to create an environment that combines efficient working, collaboration and well-being in the best possible way.
From strategy to implementation
The new working environment for Veolia is based on a multi-space concept that combines flexibility and structure. 210 fixed workstations, supplemented by around 110 flexible work areas, offer space for concentrated work, creative interaction and spontaneous meetings. In addition to the functional aspects, we have attached great importance to a customized design story, which is reflected in the room structure, materials and furnishings.
But a good concept is not enough for us - it also has to be lived by the employees. That's why we involved employees and managers in the change process right from the start. We used interactive workshops, visualizations and targeted communication to ensure that everyone could identify with the new working environment. At Veolia's previous work location, we set up an EDGE lounge where employees could experience and test the new spatial concepts in preparation for the move.
The result? Customized and future-proof
After several exciting stages of planning, adaptation and implementation, a working environment has been created in Hamburg that is ideally customized to Veolia's needs. It creates a functional and inspiring environment - from open co-working zones to retreats for concentrated work.
